This characterful wine comes from the Carneiro family estate in Basto, in Portugal's northern Vinho Verde region. It’s made from the Alvarinho grape variety (better known across the border in Galicia as Albariño). Fresh and crisp, with flavours of red grapefruit and pineapple and a nice acidity, it’s fantastic with shellfish.
