Straffe Hendrik Quadruple 33cl Bottle
Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel is brewed by De Halve Maan, the last remaining family brewery operating within the medieval walls of Bruges. This quadrupel was the first Belgian āQuadā on the market. Unlike many strong beers that taste hot or alcoholic, Straffe Hendrik is beautifully balanced. The sweetness is countered by a dry finish, making it surprisingly drinkable despite its strength. Be aware though, this is a beer for sipping, not sessions.
Serve in a chalice or tulip glass at a cool temperature (12-14°C) to appreciate the full aromatic complexity. Pour carefully to manage the carbonation.
This will pair exceptionally with strong cheeses like aged Gouda or Roquefort, slow-cooked beef stews, or rich chocolate desserts. Or as a digestif after dinner.
