St Hallett has been owned by the Linders family since 1944 and is one of South Australia's leading wineries. Since their foundation they have understood the importance of saving old vines and focusing on varieties that thrive in the extreme heat of the Barossa valley - particularly Shiraz. As such they have established connections with grape growers from some of the the best and oldest vineyard across the Barossa Valley. The Gameskeeper's SGT is led by the traditional Barossa Shiraz and Grenache grapes, joined by the Portuguese variety Touriga, Nacional. This inspired blend brings the best of these complimentary grapes: bright red fruits and supple tannins from the Shiraz, generous juicy raspberry flavours of the Grenache and rose petal and floral spice aromatics from the Touriga, Nacional. To keep the fresh primary characterisitics of the grapes this wine is aged in stainless steel tanks rather than oak.
