Penfolds Bin 95 Grange Shiraz 2016 named after the Grange cottage, built in 1845 at Magill Estate. Primarily Shiraz with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, multi-regional blend with Shiraz from Barossa and Clare valleys McLaren Vale and Magill Estate Adelaide, Cabernet Sauvignon from Barossa, Coonawarra, Mclaren Vale and Padthaway. After fermentation the blend is aged 18-20 months in American oak hogsheads (300 litres). Grange 2016 is deep crimson in colour, Intense blackberry, aniseed and liquorice aromas with a herb garden complexity. Rich concentrated and densely plush wine with deep-set creamy blackcurrant and blackberry fruits, plentiful dark chocolate, mocha and black coffee notes with pronounced acidity are balanced with firm sweet tannins.
