Fifty Pounds London Gin 70cl
Named after a harsh tax law that was levied against gin distillers in 1736. Under this new law all gin distillers were required to pay a fee of fiftypounds, the producers were not happy and in six long years only two of them paid up! This gin is, produced by Thames distillers using a recipe that dates back to those times. Quadruple distilled neutral spirit is used and the botanicals are steeped for 48 hours before being distilled again in a specialised 'John Dore' still.
Fresh and cleannose of juniper and citrus. Smooth palate with some spicy coriander and angelica and smooth lemon. Finishes dry and sharp with hints of anise and warming alcohol.
