Domaine de Montille is a family-owned estate founded in the mid-18th century, it now has the ninth generation Etienne de Montille at its helm. Etienne was an early advocate of organic farming when, in 1995, he introduced these principles in the estate’s vineyards. Biodynamic practices followed in 2005, and the Domaine received ‘Ecocert Bio’ certification in 2012. The wines reflect the unique characteristics of each vintage, there is little or no lees stirring, and new oak is used sparingly to preserve the fruit and vineyard character within the wines. Domaine de Montille Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly has aromas of pear, waxy citrus rind, white flowers, and a chalky note. The palate is medium to full-bodied, supple with a rich tone and lively acidity.
