Château Lynch-Moussas 2008
Château Lynch-Moussas was originally owned by Count Jean-Baptiste Lynch of Ireland in the 18th century. At the time, the estate was much larger and was eventually divided into two estates; half became Château Lynch-Bages and the remaining portion became Château Lynch-Moussas. Covering 62 hectares in Pauillac, the vines are planted on gravelly outcrops and benefit from Pauillacâs oceanic climate. Each plot is vinified separately before the wine transfers to the barrel cellar where it ages for 14 to 24 months in French oak, 55% of which are new. Château Lynch-Moussas 2008 has aromas and flavours of red and blackcurrant fruit and a savoury note along with a round rich body and integrated silky tannins on the finish.
